Most weekly NFL betting happens on three markets. The point spread hands the weaker side a head start; the total asks whether the two teams combined go over or under a number; the moneyline simply asks who wins.

Ties are rare but real. In the regular season overtime is one 10-minute period, and if nobody wins it the game ends level. Read the moneyline's own rules for that case before you bet a heavy favourite. Playoff games cannot end tied: they keep playing until there is a winner.

The two sides of a spread or total add up to roughly 104.7 per cent in that example. The extra 4.7 points is the bookmaker's margin, and comparing it across sportsbooks for the same game is the quickest way to find the cheaper price. Bye weeks and overseas games in nfl crypto betting

A bye week takes a team off the coupon for seven days, and it matters in two ways. First, the team returns rested, which sharp bettors build into the next spread. Second, a bye changes how you plan accumulators and season-long player markets: a receiver's yardage total for the season has one fewer game in it than the calendar suggests. Futures: divisions, conferences and the Super Bowl

A futures bet is a long loan of your stake. A division winner bet placed in September is settled after the regular season ends on 10 January 2027; a Super Bowl bet waits until 14 February. That makes the coin choice part of the bet.
