Betting on Sport in BTC: Blocks, Fees and an Open Bet's Value
Sportsbooks that name BTC in their public pages or terms, ordered by how much of the bitcoin path they write down: confirmations, minimum deposit, wallet rules and the payout clock. Around the table, the three things that make a bitcoin stake behave differently from a dollar one.

Bitcoin sports betting is ordinary betting with a stake that has a life of its own. The odds, the markets and the way a void is settled are the same as for a dollar bet. What differs sits on either side of the slip: a deposit that waits for a block, a fee priced by the size of the transaction rather than its value, and a stake whose worth keeps moving while the match, or the season, is still being played. This page covers those three, then lists nine sportsbooks that name BTC and says what each writes down about it.
The list is ordered by how much of the bitcoin route each operator puts in writing, from the number of confirmations it waits for to the wallet a payout must go to. It does not rank odds. Every operator fact comes from the operator's terms, FAQ or payments pages, read from 24 August to 12 September 2026; facts about the network come from the bitcoin.org FAQ, read on 6 October 2026.

How to read the table: the coins column confirms that BTC is named, and the order rewards written detail on the bitcoin path. Rocketpot sits high because its terms fix the minimum deposit, the confirmation count, the wallet rule and a BTC-denominated document threshold. Metaspins names BTC only in a list of minimum bonus amounts per coin, which shows the coin is handled but is not a full deposit list. CoinPoker and Bspin name BTC and little else about the route, so they close the table.
Confirmations: when a bitcoin deposit counts
A bitcoin transfer is not credited when you press send. It is credited when it has been written into a block and the cashier has seen enough blocks on top of it. According to the bitcoin.org FAQ, new blocks arrive about every ten minutes on average, but discovery is probabilistic, so a single confirmation may come much sooner or much later than that. The same FAQ notes that six confirmations are often treated as very safe.
Sportsbooks that offer bitcoin sports betting do not usually wait for six. Rocketpot's terms credit a deposit after one confirmation (clause 10.5), and Rainbet's FAQ says the same. The others in the table do not state a number in the pages we read; the cashier screen usually shows it. In practice, plan for a deposit sent ten minutes before kick-off to arrive after the first whistle on a slow day, and fund the account the evening before a big fixture rather than in the tunnel.
Fees: priced by size, not by the amount you send
The bitcoin network charges for space in a block. Per the bitcoin.org FAQ, the fee is not related to the amount being sent; it depends on the size of the transaction in bytes and rises when demand for block space is high. A deposit of a few dollars and one of several thousand can cost the same to send.
For bitcoin sports betting that makes small deposits expensive in proportion. Example: a network fee worth 2 USDT is 10 per cent of a 20 USDT deposit and 0.4 per cent of a 500 USDT one. The crypto deposit fee calculator puts those costs side by side. Rocketpot adds a hard floor: its terms set a minimum deposit of 0.001 BTC and say anything below it is not credited and is lost (clause 10.2). If you bet small stakes often, the page on low deposit crypto betting sites is the better place to start, and a cheaper coin may suit you better than BTC.
Price risk while the bet is open
Here bitcoin sports betting parts company with betting in dollars. The bet settles in bitcoin at the odds you took, but the bitcoin itself keeps trading. The bitcoin.org FAQ is frank that the price remains volatile because relatively small sums can move it.
Example: you stake 0.01 BTC at 3.00 on a title winner in October. It wins in May and returns 0.03 BTC, three times your stake in coins. If bitcoin has fallen 30 per cent in the meantime, the return is worth 2.1 times what the stake was worth when you placed it; if it has risen 30 per cent, it is worth 3.9 times. The bet was right either way. The coin decided the rest.
For a Premier League single settled the same afternoon, that drift barely registers. For an ante-post bet it can outweigh the odds. Bettors who want the price risk out of the equation hold long bets in a stablecoin; the page on betting with USDT explains how. The bankroll guide covers how to size stakes when the balance itself moves.
Withdrawing bitcoin: same coin, same wallet, no way back
The last leg of bitcoin sports betting is the one with no undo. A bitcoin payout is final once it confirms. The bitcoin.org FAQ puts it plainly: a confirmed transaction can only be refunded by the person who received it. So the address you give the cashier has to be right the first time, and copy-paste followed by a check of the first and last characters is the minimum.
Several books add their own wallet rules on top:
- Rocketpot pays only in the coin and to the wallet the deposit came from (clause 11.1), refuses deposits from third-party wallets (clauses 10.8 and 10.9), and lists, among its verification methods, signing a message from the address an early deposit was sent from (clause 11.8).
- Metaspins pays only in the cryptocurrency used for the deposit (clause 11.3).
- Rocketpot writes its document threshold partly in bitcoin: withdrawals above 0.05 BTC or $2,500 may be checked (clause 11.4). If the coin's price rises, the same number of coins crosses the dollar line sooner.
Then comes the operator's own clock. Wild.io states 10 to 60 minutes, Rocketpot 72 hours, Vave up to three days. Rakebit, DuckDice, CoinPoker and Bspin set no payout period in the pages we read. Bettors who rank books by that clock first will find the comparison on the list of fast-withdrawal crypto sportsbooks.
Choosing a book for bitcoin sports betting
Three checks before the first deposit:
- Confirm the cashier lists BTC on the bitcoin network, not a wrapped token on another chain.
- Read the minimum deposit and the confirmation count, so the first transfer neither vanishes below a floor nor misses the kick-off.
- Read the wallet rule and the payout clock, and send from a wallet you control and can withdraw back to.
Bitcoin or another coin?
Bitcoin is the coin most bettors already hold, which is its main strength at the cashier. For bets that settle in hours, that is often reason enough. For quicker, cheaper transfers or a stake that keeps its dollar value, other coins have pages of their own: litecoin sports betting, Ethereum sports betting and the stablecoin route above. To see every operator together, the full ranking of crypto betting sites is the wider view, and the home page lists the top crypto sports betting sites one sport at a time. For what the chain itself records about your bet, see blockchain sports betting.
