How the Swiss stage is played

The Swiss stage pairs teams with the same record in each round, with no rematches. Three wins send a team to the knockout bracket; three losses send it home. The length of each match depends on the round:

1. Round one: eight best-of-one matches.
2. Round two: eight best-of-one matches.
3. Round three: four best-of-three matches and four best-of-one matches. The teams level at one win and one loss play single games.
4. Round four: six best-of-three matches.
5. Round five: three best-of-three matches.

In effect, a match is a best-of-three when a team can qualify or be eliminated, and a single game otherwise. That shapes lol worlds crypto betting in two ways. First, single games are more volatile. Correct score is the same idea split further: 2–0 or 2–1 in a best-of-three, and six possible results in a best-of-five. Total maps, usually over or under 2.5 in a best-of-three and 3.5 or 4.5 in a best-of-five, is a bet on how close the series will be rather than who wins it.

Draft rules that move the prices

Two rules make Worlds 2026 different from a standard match.

First selection. Before the first game of a series, one team holds the right of first selection. It chooses either its pick position or its map side, and the opponent gets its preference on the other. A team that values first pick gives up the side choice.

Fearless draft. In every best-of-three and best-of-five, a champion picked by either team in an earlier game of the series cannot be picked by either team again in that series. Best-of-one games use the normal draft. The effect builds as a series goes on: by game four or five of a best-of-five, both teams are playing deep into their champion pools. A side that relies on a narrow set of comfort picks can look strong early and weaker late. Remakes and restarted games
