SHL: how hockey markets settle

The SHL has 14 teams, each playing 52 games in a regular season that runs from late September to early March. The top six go straight to the quarter-finals; seventh to tenth play best-of-three eighth-finals for the last two places. Every round after that is best of seven. Skellefteå won the 2026 title, their fifth.

The 2026/27 season opened with a record crowd and seven sold-out arenas, and after the latest full round Frölunda were still unbeaten. Early unbeaten runs pull prices in hard; by November there is enough data to tell whether the run was form or a soft schedule.

The one rule that costs hockey bettors most:

• Three-way result (1X2): 60 minutes of regular time. A tie at the end of regular time means both team bets lose.
• Match winner / money line: usually includes overtime and the shootout.
• Totals: check how the rules treat a shootout, because settlement rules differ on whether it adds a goal to the score.

Premier League on Swedish time

England runs one hour behind Sweden for the whole year, because both change their clocks at the same moment, on 25 October 2026 and again on 28 March 2027. Add an hour to any English kick-off and you have the time in Stockholm.

The 2026–27 season runs from 21 August to 30 May 2027 with Arsenal as defending champions. Manchester City led on 20 September with 15 points from five games. Kronor to USDT for crypto sports betting Sweden, and where Swish fits

There is no direct way to stake kronor in crypto, so the route always involves two conversions: kronor into a coin, and later the coin back into kronor. The route:

1. Bank to exchange. Swish links your phone number to your bank account and settles in seconds; organisations have been able to receive Swish payments since 2014. If your exchange lists Swish as a deposit method, use it there; if not, an ordinary bank transfer does the same job more slowly.
2. Exchange to coin. For anything open longer than a few days, a dollar stablecoin keeps the value steady. USDT is pegged one to one with the US dollar.

Kronor to USDT uses two ECB reference rates. On 5 October 2026 one euro was 11.2525 kronor and 1.1204 dollars, which puts one dollar at about 10.04 kronor. As examples before spread and fees:

• 1,000 kr ≈ 99.6 USDT
• 2,500 kr ≈ 248.9 USDT

The kronor-dollar rate moves on its own, so a winning bet in USDT can come back as more or fewer kronor than you expected. Over a hockey season that runs to April, that drift is worth noticing.

Networks for a 200-kronor stake

Small stakes are where the network choice shows. On Ethereum the base fee can rise by up to 12.5 % per block when demand is high, so an evening transfer may cost more than the stake justifies. Solana charges a base fee of 0.000005 SOL per signature. Tron gives each account 600 Bandwidth points every rolling 24 hours, but a USDT transfer also needs Energy, and without it the network burns TRX from your wallet. Keep a few TRX alongside the USDT if you use Tron.
